76th INDEPENDENCE DAY-2022 CELEBRATED IN DISTRICT PULWAMA


Pulwama 15th August: 76th Independence day 2022 was celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm in district Pulwama. The main function was held at District Police Lines Pulwama, where DDC Chairperson Pulwama Shri Syed Abdul Bari Indrabi unfurled the National Flag and took salute on the parade/March past.
The Flag hoisting ceremonies were also held in all Sub divisional, Tehsil/Block Halqas, Panchayat Ghar’s, Offices of senior officers of District Administration, Schools, Police Stations and other Police/CRPF establishments.
DC Pulwama, Shri Baseer-ul Haq Choudary, SSP Pulwama Gh. Jeelani Wani-JKPS, CO 182, 183 CRPF, ASP Pulwama, DDC Members of District Pulwama and other senior officers of Police/Civil administration were witnessed on the occasion.
The march past was presented by the Contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF 182/183, Home Guards, Fire & Emergency Services, NCC Cadets, students of various schools, & Youth Services.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Chairperson congratulated the partcipants for celebrating the 76th Independence Day and highlighted the importance of the Independence Day celebration. He said that this day is very important for our country as many legendary freedom fighters have sacrificed their lives for freedom of the nation and make India independent. Chief guest also highlighted various development initiatives undertaken in the district for the progress & prosperity of general public. He also paid rich tributes to the Martyrs of Police, Army & CAPFs who sacrificed their lives for the peace and prosperity of the nation.
On the occasion, numerous cultural groups, Artists presented cultural programmes. The prizes were distributed among the best contingents of parade, cultural, social activists and others participants.
People in large number also witnessed the function as elaborate security arrangement were made by the District Police Pulwama to ensure peaceful conduct of the function. The event concluded peacefully.
