November 15: In order to redress the grievances & review the welfare measures of retired police personnel, Police in Shopian held a meeting with retired officers/officials at DPL Shopian.

On the occasion, the meeting was chaired by SSP Shopian Ms. Tanushree-IPS. Besides ASP Shopian Shri Ifroz Ahmad-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Shopian, SDPO Zainapora, DySP (Ops) Keller, DySP DAR DPL Shopian were also present. The meeting was attended by 50 retired officers/officials of district Shopian.

At the outset of the meeting, SSP Shopian welcomed and thanked all the participants for sparing their valuable time and attending the meeting. She assured them that Police is always at their disposal and they are still part of Police Organization. The chairing officer also advised participants that they can approach any Police Officer or Police Unit at any time of exigency or to redress their grievances/problems. She also added that various measures are being taken by the Police Department for the welfare of retired police personnel and their wards.

The participants thanked Police for organising such meetings and hoped that such meetings will be held in future as well so as to redress the grievances of the retirees. All the retired police personnel were cordially invited for lunch at GOs Mess, besides solar lights were provided to all as a gift of token.```
