November 12:`Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession.

A police party of Police Station Baramulla headed by SHO PS Baramulla under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla at a checkpoint established at Janbazpora Baramulla intercepted a person. During search, 10 grams of Brown Sugar like contraband substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Shah Shahid Bilal @Shahid Afridi son of Bilal Ahmad Shah resident of Janbazpora Baramulla. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Baramulla where he remains in custody.

Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Baramulla & investigations have been initiated.
