Rajouri, August 02: In its fight against narcotics and drugs addiction, Jammu and Kashmir police is not only taking strong legal action against culprits but is also working hard on preventive front with an aim to make people, especially young generation, aware about ill effects of this addiction.

Under these efforts, police in Nowshera sub division of District Rajouri organised an awareness talk on ill-effects of drug abuse.

This awareness talk was organised at New National Public Higher Secondary School Nowshera with SDPO Nowshera & SHO Nowshera interacting with the students.

Through this awareness talk, the students of the school were made aware of ill effects of drugs and narcotics addiction and how it takes life of a citizen.

They were also made aware about health implications of this addiction and regarding social and family stigma involved in it.

The students were not only cautioned to not fall in any trap laid by any peddler running this illegal trade but were also motivated to contribute in this noble cause by becoming an ambassador of spreading this message in their family, relatives, neighbourhood and society.
