KATHUA, 03 SEP:- Continuing its efforts against drug menace, J&K Police Kathua today recovered approx. 12.60 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics in the jurisdictional area of P/S Kathua, 01 drug peddler arrested along with recovered narcotics substance got seized on spot.
On 03-09-2024 an information was received through the reliable sources at P/S Kathua that one person namely 1. Liaqat Ali @Liaqtu S/o Nek Mohd. R/o Chack Drab Khan Kathua was doing illegal trade of selling Narcotics like Contraband and kept huge quantity of narcotics substance in his possession and was trying to sell same to the people of the area. Acting swiftly, a Police team of PS Kathua under the supervision of DySP Hqrs. Kathua & SHO PS Kathua laid down a special naka/ checking and apprehended the said person namely 1. Liaqat Ali @Liaqtu S/o Nek Mohd. R/o Chack Drab Khan Kathua.During checking approx. 12.60 grams of Heroin(Chitta) narcotics was recovered from his possession. Thereafter all the recovered narcotics was seized and one drug peddler was arrested on the spot. On this, a case vide FIR No. 280/2024 U/S 8/21/22/NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kathua while further investigation is underway.
District Police Kathua once again requested the people of the area to come forward and share information on 100 or 9858034100 about any such illicit activity with police for the cause. The identity of the informer will be kept confidential.
