Jammu, November 22: On 14/11/2024 an information was received at Police Post Pounichak about the hit and run case occurred at Bohri near ANI showroom in which one unknown motorcyclist who was on his way from patta chungi towards Talab Tillo in rash and negligent manner hit pedestrian namely Shilpy Gupta W/O Rohit Gupta R/O Durga Nagar Talab Tillo resulting which she received multiple injuries. While committing the accident despite taking the injured to hospital the said accused fled away from the spot.

Acting upon this, an FIR was registered under relevant section of law and a Police Team of PP Pounichak led by IC PP Pounichak put strenuous efforts and with the help of technical assistance as well as human intervention identified the culprit motorcyclist who later on identified as Alok Kumar S/O Ravinder Kumar age 22 years R/O Ladore ward No. 05 Tehsil Marh District Jammu executed his arrest and also seized the involved motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BC 1776. Further investigation into the case is going on.
