Awantipora 23 November: Continuing its drive against persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Awantipora Police arrested 04 persons & seized 04 vehicles.

Police party from Police Station Awantipora headed by SHO Awantipora Inspector Khalid Fayaz and SI Muneer Ahmad IC Police Post Toll Plaza have arrested 04 persons namely:
1) Nadeem Ahmad Dar S/O Ab Hamid dar R/O Barsoo.
2) Zahoor Ahmad Rather S/O Ab Ahad Rather R/o Lethpora.
3) Amir Ashraf Dar S/O Mohd ashraf Dar R/O lethpora.
4) Aabid Mushtaq S/O Mushtaq Ahmad R/O Mandakpal and seized four vehicles(Tippers)bearing registration numbers JK13H-0797, JK13D-4847,JK13F-0197 JK02AX-4658 involved in illegal extraction of Stone Rubble and soil in Awantipora areas.

Accordingly, case vide FIR NO. 161 /2024 and 163/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated.

Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law.
