ADG Jammu Zone chairs a meeting on the overall traffic scenario in Jammu Zone and the status of the Integrated Road Accident Data Base (iRAD)

Jammu 26th November, 2024: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shri Anand Jain-IPS, Addl. Director General of Police Jammu Zone ,Jammu to review the overall traffic scenario in Jammu and the status of the Integrated Road Accident Data Base (iRAD). During the meeting, Shri M. Suleman Chudhary, IPS, IGP Traffic J&K, all DIsGP of Jammu Zone, District SSsP of Jammu Zone, and all SSsP of Traffic Jammu were present.

2. During the meeting, Shri M. Suleman Choudhary, IPS, IGP Traffic, presented a detailed overview of the traffic scenario, accident trends, and the importance of the iRAD (Integrated Road Accident Database) system. He urged all officers to ensure proper and timely uploading of accident data into the iRAD portal, which will help in analyzing accident patterns and taking necessary preventive measures.

3. The IGP Traffic J&K further highlighted that this data-driven approach would enable the authorities to take preventive measures and develop strategies to reduce road accidents, enhance road safety, and improve traffic management across the Jammu region.

4. Addl. DGP Jammu, in his address, highlighted the critical importance of the iRAD system and directed all SSsP of Jammu to ensure that all pending accident details are uploaded on the portal within the next 4 to 5 days. He emphasized that accurate and complete data would be key in formulating effective strategies to reduce accidents.

5. Addl. DGP Jammu further stated that a review meeting will be held every month to assess the progress and effectiveness of the efforts, stressing the need for timely compliance and continuous improvement in the system. This initiative aims to improve road safety and enhance the overall traffic management in Jammu.

6. During the meeting, all officers were urged to ensure compliance with this directive, which aims to strengthen efforts in reducing traffic-related incidents and improving public safety.
