March 14: Anantnag Police in collaboration with the Forest Department launched a special drive for plantation in all the areas of District Anantnag under theme "The death of the forest is the end the life on planet”.

Let us pledge to plant per head a tree, But it is better to plant three.

One for Shade, One for fruit and One for beauty.

The drive, kick started from Government Higher Secondary School Seer Hamdan where SHO Mattan, DFO, students from various schools, respectable citizens of Seer Hamdan area and other dignitaries planted saplings of different varieties.

On the occasion, DFO and SHO requested participants to go for maximum plantation during this current month as it is the best time to plant, various kinds of trees.
