Sopore, 07 May : During Naka checking at Achabal Sopore crossing, police party of police station Sopore lead by SHO Sopore Shri. Azim khan intercepted a Bike bearing registration No. JK05F 3674 which was coming from Achabal Rafiabad enrooting Sopore. As soon as it was signalled to stop by police, two pillion riders managed to escape where as one person who was riding the bike was apprehended and the bike was impounded. The same person has Been identified as Mohammad Shafi Lone S/O Abdul Rashid Lone R/O Nadihal Rafiabad, banned Drugs (spasmoproxivan capsules 3000 which is the largest recovery of this year) were recovered from their possession which were carrying with the aim of distribution among youth of Sopore town. The other two who managed to flee have been identified as Arshid Farooq Lone S/O Farooq Ahmad Lone R/O Saidpora Rafiabad And Muzaffar Ahmad Shah S/O Mohammad Sultan Shah R/O Adipora Sopore who is at present Notorious Drug peddler known with the name of NUND shah among various other addicts. In this regard an FIR No 112/019 US 8/22 NDPS has been lodged at police station Sopore and man hunt has been launched to nab the other two. General public is requested to cooperate with police in the eradication of drug menace from the society.
