June 30:* ```Police in Sopore solved a burglary case reported to Police Station Sopore and have arrested one accused person involved in the commission of crime.

On 20 June 2020, PS Sopore received complaint regarding burglary incident in the residential house of Ulfat Ahmad Khawja resident of Seloo Sopore. Accordingly, Case FIR No. 152/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Sopore and investigation was initiated.

During the course of investigation, officers arrested one suspected person identified as Umer Farooq Sheikh son of Farooq Ahmad Sheikh resident of Seloo Sopore. During questioning officers learnt about his involvement in the commission of crime. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Sopore where he remains in custody.

During the investigation, officers also learnt about the involvement of another person Shahid Farooq Sofi resident of Sempora Sopore in the commission of crime. He is presently at large and efforts are on to effect his arrest.

Community members have appreciated the efforts made by the Srinagar police. We assure community members that police have resolved to act tough against individuals involved in criminal activities.```
