*June 30:* ```As a part of public outreach programme, Police public interaction meeting cum awareness programme on Coronavirus was held in District Police Office Ganderbal. The interaction meeting cum awareness programmes was held after following social distancing norms and other protocols.

The interaction meeting was chaired by the SSP Ganderbal shri Khalil Ahmad PoswaI-JKPS along with DySP DAR Shri Umar Rashid-JKPS, SHO Ganderbal and Incharge Police Post Nagbal. The interaction meeting was attended by the president of transporters and traders, Masjid committee & Mohalla committee representatives from the different areas of District Ganderbal.

The main aim of the meeting was to seek cooperation from the general public in adherence of the guidelines as well as health advisories issued by the District Administration from time to time for the prevention of COVID-19 while dealing with their day to day activities and handling customers and in eradicating social evils to make the atmosphere peaceful.

The participants raise various issues during the meeting. SSP Ganderbal assured the participants that their genuine issues pertaining to police will be resolved on priority basis and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their redressal.

The participants in the meetings assured their full cooperation to police in tackling social evils and appreciated the efforts of police for facilitating such meetings where participants express their views freely. The participants also appreciated the step taken by Police for public during pandemic & bringing crime rate down in general area.```
