GANDERBAL, August 15 : 74th Independence Day 2020 celebrated in District Ganderbal```with great fervor wherein tricolor was unfurled at each Police Stations / Police establishments and``` main function was held at Physical college Gadoora ```in which Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shri Shafqat Iqbal, as chief guest unfurled the National Flag and accompanied with SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS, inspected the parade.

Principal District & Sessions Judge Ganderbal Shri Mohd Yousuf wani, Registrar central university Professor Mohd Asgar, ADC Ganderbal Shri Farooq Ahmad Baba, DySP HQRS Dr Abdul Majid-JKPS, DySP OPS Shri S.M Shafi besides other senior officers of civil administration/ Police Department were present on the occasion.

The parade was commanded by DySP DAR Ganderbal Shri Umar Rashid-JKPS.
The participating Contingents were representing CRPF, BSF, SSB, JKP Band, District Police Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police & Home Guard.

Moreover Health Department workers, Youth Service and Sports department and Municipal Corporation were present on the occasion in view of COVID 19 pandemic.

Besides, colorful cultural programmes were presented and awards were given to the best performers by the chief guest.```

Good number of people witnessed the function as elaborate security arrangement were made by the District Police Ganderbal in this behalf.
