Ganderbal Police solves burglary case; accused arrested _Stolen property worth lacs recovered_


April 28:``Ganderbal Police have solved a burglary case and arrested three accused persons involved in the commission of crime, stolen properly worth lacs were also recovered.

On 24th April 2021, Police Station Ganderbal received a complaint from one person Sahil Manzoor Baba regarding burglary in his electronic shop during the intervening night of 23rd and 24th April at Beehama chowk of district Ganderbal.

Accordingly, a case FIR No. 58/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigation was initiated.

During the course of investigation, Srinagar Police shared specific information to Ganderbal Police that three suspicious vendors selling electronic appliances on cheap rates in the jurisdiction of PS Batmaloo. While enquiring into the circumstances, the officers discovered that the items being put to sale were proceeds of criminal acts and were decamped from an electronic store in Ganderbal.

Accordingly, Ganderbal Police constituted a special team headed by SHO PS Ganderbal under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal for effecting the arrest of accused burglars identified as Hashim Iqbal Sofi son of Mohammad Iqbal Sofi, Raheel Hassan Sheikh son of Mohammad Hussain Sheikh and Suhaib Shafi all the residents of Saloora Ganderbal. On their disclosure, stolen property worth ₹322000/- including mobile phones, torches, induction-heaters, USB cables, Power banks, I-pods, Pen-drives, LED bulbs, air-phones, data cables, hair trimmers etc were recovered.
