Jammu 28th July:- During the intervening night an incident of cloudburst took place in Honzar Dachhan area, in which 19 residential houses were completely damaged whereas 2 houses were partially damaged. 21 cowsheds also got damaged.
Soon after the information, a Police team swung into action led by SHO Hunzar who started the rescue operation. Subsequently, an Army column and SDRF teams also reached the spot.
Seven dead bodies have been retrieved and 17 injured haven been rescued. 06 persons have been shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar. The deceased have been identified as Sara Begum w/o Ghulam Mohd r/o Honzar Dachhan, Rakila Begum w/o Zakir Ahmed (Nomad) , Ghulam Nabi s/o Ghulam Rasool r/o Honzar Dachhan, Abdul majid s/o Nazir Ahmed r/o Honzar Dachhan, Zaytoon Begum w/o Haji Lal Din (Nomad) , Touseef Iqbal s/o Mohd Iqbal r/o Honzar Dachhan and Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din s/o Nasarullah r/o Honzar Dachhan
Rescue team of Kishtwar Police is on job and rescue operation is underway.
