Kishtwar Sept.06: A team of Kishtwar Police led by PSI Moin Khan I/C PP Jawalapur acting on a reliable information regarding smuggling of forest produce raided the suspected areas of Kither Forest area in Jawlapur and recovered 18 bags of *Khakhdi* weighing about 300 kgs. The accused on noticing the police party managed to escape from the spot by taking the adventage of dense forest.

In this regard a case FIR No. 210/2021 U/sec 379 IPC, 6 Forest Act has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation taken up
