Theft case solved, stolen purse along with other valuable items recovered by Police Post Talab Tillo Jammu. One thief arrested


Jammu: On 09- 09-21 a written complaint was received from the office of principal Govt boys Hr.sec. School Nowabad at Police Post Talab Tillo stating that on 4th of September 2021 one boy entered into the school premises pretending to seek admission in the school and stole purse of one of staff members namely Smt. Manmeet Bali which contains cash Rs 7000 and other Atm cards, Driving licence etc.

On this case FIR No. 140/21 U/s 380 IPC registered at P/S Nowabad Jammu and investigation started.

After this special police teams of PP Talab Tillo under the supervision of Dy.SP Swati Sharma were constituted. The team led by I/C PP Talab Tillo Inspr Kali Charan with the help of technical assistance and analysis of CCTV footages of the area finally rounded up the suspect namely Rohit kumar S/o Madan Lal R/o Gole panjpeer Talab Tillo Jammu. During sustained questioning , accused confessed his involvement in the above case and on his disclosure stolen purse along with laptop, stolen gas cylinder and one phone was recovered from his possession.

Further investigation of the case is going on to ascertain his involvement in other cases.

02. *Bada Khana organized for Jawans at Police Station Gharota Jammu*

Jammu: In order to motivate the jawans working tirelessly day & night in the prevailing security scenario & Covid-19 pandemic, today on 17-09-2021, a “Bada Khana” was organized at PS Gharota.


Besides the police personnels of PS Gharota, SDPO Akhnoor Sh. Varun Jandial, SHO PS Gharota Inspr. Khyatiman Khajuria, SHO Akhnoor Inspr. Hilal Azhar, SHO PS Khour Inspr. Balwinder Singh, IC PPs also participated.

SDPO Akhnoor appreciated the exemplary commitment shown by the jawans who are dealing with various challenges day & night including crime, law & order, Covid pandemic besides other emerging challenges. SDPO Akhnoor emphasised on maintenance of physical fitness & development of professional skills among the work force which are key stones for effective & efficient delivery by any police personnel. He complimented SHO Gharota for organising such an event for welfare of jawans that too following Covid guidelines and instructed others also to take all the possible measures for welfare of the police personnels under their command.

03. *31 bovine animals rescued by Jammu Police. Two accused arrested*

Jammu: Continuing it’s drive against bovine smuggling, Jammu Police during Naka checking at Thati Bridge Gharota has rescued 15 bovine animals. One vehicle bearing Registration No. JK02CC 9277 has also been seized. Similarly, at Ban Toll Plaza naka 16 bovines have also been rescued by a team of PS Nagrota from two different vehicles i.e one tata mobile bearing Registration No. JK02CJ/7926 and one oil tanker bearing Registration No. JK02AC/9970 and vehicles have also been seized.

In this regard, a case FIR No. 89/21 u/s 188/IPC & 11/PCA Act has been registered at P/S Gharota and two cases FIR No. 381/2021 U/S 188/IPC and FIR No. 382/2021 U/S 307/188/IPC 11 PC Act got registered at P/S Nagrota respectively. In this regard, two accused person have also been arrested. Accused person arrested by PS Gharota has been identified as Satnam Singh S/o Amarjeet Singh R/o Kirtbal Tehsil Patti Dist Tarn Taran Punjab, has also been arrested by PS Gharota


The recovery has been made by SHO P/S Gharota Inspr. Khyatiman Khajuria and SHO P/S Nagrota Inspr Mohd Showkat in their respective jurisdictions.The overall arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.

Further investigation of the case is going on.

District Police Jammu is striving hard and taking every possible step to curb the bovine smuggling menace. District Police Jammu is seeking support from the people to share information about bovine smuggling with police for timely intervention for the cause.
