KATHUA, 17 SEP : Acting tough against the trade of illicit liquor menace in the district, Kathua Police today seized 05 litres of illicit liquor in the JD of PS Kathua and 01 person was arrested in this connection.*

*On 16-09-2021 Police team led by Insp. Om Parkash Chib SHO PS Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua Sh. Shammi Kumar -JKPS during special checking duty in its jurisdictional area apprehended 01 person from respective area.During checking, 05 litres of illicit liquor was recovered from the possession of person namely Krishan Kumar S/o Lt.Bansi Lal R/o Chack Drab Khan Kathua District Kathua who is doing the trade of selling illicit liquor to the people of Chack Drab Khan in order to get illegitimate profit and also kept intermediate quantity of illicit liquor in his possesion.Meanwhile all the recovered consignment of illicit liquor seized and one person was arrested.In this regard,a case vide FIR No. 415/2021 U/S 48(a) Excise Act stands registered at P/S Kathua and further investigation started*
