Police destroys Poppy Cultivation in Pulwama

May 19:Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police alongwith Civil authorities destroyed poppy cultivation at village Qalampora & Shadimarg area of Pulwama.

A police party from Police Station Rajpora headed by SHO PS Rajpora along with Officers/officials of Revenue & excise department destroyed 12 kanals of illegal poppy cultivated land at village Qalampora & Shadimarg area of Rajpora Pulwama.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 35/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Rajpora and further investigation initiated.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt strictly under law.
