March 18: In compliance to the order of Hon’ble session court, a committee comprising of Police officer, revenue officers and Judicial officer destroyed huge quantity of seized drugs and psychotropic substances under section 52A of NDPS Act.

The seized contraband substances of 82 cases of Police Station Pulwama, Police Station Kakapora, Police Station Rajpora and Police Station Litter were destroyed. The seized substances includes 5.3kgs of Charas, 398.1 kgs of Cannabis Powder/leaves, 3916.6 kgs of Poppy Straw, 2105 bottles of Codeine, 5.54 grams of Brown Sugar were destroyed at Kashmir Health Care System, IGC Lassipora in presence of constituted committee headed by Hon’ble Munsiff/Judicial Magistrate Ist Class Pulwama, DySP Hqrs Pulwama, Executive Magistrate Pulwama, Chief Prosecuting Officer Pulwama and other Police officers of the District.

The people of the area met with the officers during the exercise and thanked them for their hard work, professionalism, and commitment towards making the society drug free.```
