Samba, February 16 : Samba Police has apprehended eleven gamblers red-handed in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered stake money to the tune of rupees 28,500/- alongwith playing cards, 12 Mobile phones and cash from their possession.

The apprehended gamblers have been identified as Mohd Sahab S/o Nasiruddin, Ahmed S/o Masroof Ahmed, Suhaib S/o Saeed Ahmed, Asif S/o Kudrat, Adil S/o Irshad, Mohd Saqib S/o Mohd Shamim, Mohd Noor S/o Islam Ul Haq, Nahim Khan S/o Umed Ali, Arshad Malik S/o Naseemudin, Mohd Qasim s/o Zulfikar and Usman S/o Sulamaan all R/ Uttar Pradesh A/P Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana.

Acting on specific information regarding gambling, a Police team headed by SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana raided the gambling spot near Teli Basti Bari Brahmana and apprehended eleven gamblers while gambling alongwith stake money of Rs 28,500/-, playing cards, 12 costly Mobile Phones and cash of Rs.1635/- from their possession.

Legal action under section 13 of Gambling Act has been taken by police against the said gamblers.
