Samba, February 18 : Continuing drive against illegal mining in the district, Samba Police has seized three vehicles in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba and Police Station Vijaypur which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.

Police teams of Police Station Samba headed by SHO PS Samba and Police Post Mansar headed by Incharge Police Post Mansar have seized one tractor trolley bearing regd. No. JK21J- 5344 and one Dumper bearing regd. No. JK14H-0561 respectively for illegal mining/transportation of construction material in their respective jurisdictional area.

Similarly, a Police party of Police Station Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur during patrolling duty in the area has seized one tractor trolley bearing regd. No. JK21J- 2835 for illegal mining/transportation in the area.

The above mentioned vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
