Police organises 05 days crash course on new criminal laws in Baramulla


February 19: Police in Baramulla organised five days crash course on new criminal laws at Conference Hall of DPL Baramulla for officers/ officials of District Police Baramulla.

The workshop was chaired by DySP DAR DPL Baramulla Sh. Ajay Kumar-JKPS accompanied by Addl. Public Prosecutor Sopore & Chief Legal Aid defence counsel.

During the session, DySP DAR DPL Baramulla, Sh Ajay Kumar-JKPS, Addl. PP Addl. Sessions Court Sopore Sh Akhter Rasool & Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel Sh Zahoor Ahmad Mir focused on understanding the theme behind the New Criminal Laws with an emphasis on significant changes. The necessary knowledge and understanding of these new laws, ensuring they are well-prepared to address contemporary challenges in law enforcement. In addition, the participants were made aware by the chairing officers about the comparisons of old and new laws. Officers/ officials had the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions, enhancing their comprehension and application of the new laws. This initiative underscores the commitment of Baramulla Police to providing comprehensive and relevant training to its personnel, ensuring they remain at the forefront of law enforcement practices.
