Ramban Police Organised Football Tournament Under Civic Action Programme


Ramban 28 March: Ramban Police organized a Football Tournament as part of Civic Action Programme at the District Police Line in Ramban. Supervised by *SSP Ramban, Shri Anuj Kumar-IPS,* the event was presided over by Shri Gourav Mahajan JKPS Adl.SP Ramban, alongside Dr. Imtiyaz Ahmed JKPS DySP DAR Ramban. The primary goal of the tournament was to foster sports activities in the area, providing youths with a platform to excel in sports and steer clear of drug addiction. Teams from various parts of District Ramban participated, culminating in a final match between the Ramban and Chanderkote teams, with Chanderkote emerging victorious with a 2-0 score. Both the winning and runner-up teams were honored with cash prizes, trophies, and medals for their outstanding performance and dedication. Individual awards were also given to the standout players, while participating teams received cash prizes as recognition for their contributions to promoting a drug-free society. The local youth commended the efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir Police in organizing such events and expressed gratitude for promoting sports activities in the district. These initiatives by the Police Department aim to strengthen relations and understanding between the police and the general public, fostering trust and a better relationship. Participants appreciated this step and hoped for the continuation of such innovative community partnership programs in the future.
