Jammu,02: On 06-02-2024, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Nagrota by a lady namely Chanchal Devi to the effect that I went to Nagrota market at Own Kids Wear Shop at 1200 hours and when at about 1520 hours I reached back at home found that theft from Almirah and bed box took place and lock of main door was broken & on checking found gold items missing

On this, case FIR No. 46/2024 u/s 454/380 IPC was immediately registered at P/S Nagrota and Police swung into action.
Sensing gravity of the crime, Police team headed by Sho Nagrota Inspector Rajeshwar singh along with IC PP Jagti Colony PSI Ishfaq Tnatray was constituted by Sh. Aakash KohliJKPS SDPO Nagrota Jammu.
Different police parties were constituted at police station level which raided several hideouts.During sustained questioning it came to fore that a suspect namely *Akash Khushu S/o Late Ashok Kumar R/o Muthi Domana was the one who comitted the theft and confessed his involvement in the crime. On their disclosure, gold items worth Ruppess 3 lakhs recovered .
Police team led by Rajeshwar Singh SHO Nagrota and assisted by PSI Ishfaq Tantray made the arrests/recovery under the supervision of SDPO Sh.Aakash Kohli(JKPS) and SP Rural Sh.Brijesh Sharma ( JKPS).
People of Jammu have words of praise for Police for their quick action and recovery of stolen items and putting thieves behind the bars.
