Samba, April 28: J&K Police has arrested a person for illicit hoarding and sale of diesel in Sarthi Khurd area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal, district Samba and has seized around 200 litres of illicit diesel.

Acting on a tip off, a Police Party of PP Rajpura headed by Incharge Rajpura apprehended the accused person red-handed from Sarthi Khurd area who was indulged in illegally storing and selling of diesel oil in the area. Police has seized 200 litres of diesel oil stored in barrels on the spot from his possession.

The arrested accused has been identified as Jagdish Singh S/o Gian Singh R/o Sarthi Khurd tehsil Rajpura district Samba.

A case FIR No. 57/2024 U/S 3/7 Essential Commodities Act has been registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation is underway.
