SSP KISHTWAR INAUGURATED "DISTRICT TRAINING ATTACHMENT PROGRAMME" OF 40 NEWLY APPOINTED PSIs AT DPL KISHTWAR


Kishtwar, April 30: In compliance with the directions of the PHQ and ZPHQ a 40 days long District Training Attachment programme was initiated at District Kishtwar for 40 newly appointed Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs).

Today, the Superintendent of Police Kishtwar, Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, convened an introductory session with the PSIs, delivering a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation on various facets of the district. The session included an overview of the district's profile, Police Establishments, Security Deployments, and intelligence sharing mechanism.
Additionally, the PSIs were briefed on the functionalities of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS), monitoring of CCTV surveillance, implementation of AI-based facial recognition systems and e-beat books, cyber crime investigation, social media monitoring, electric surveillance.

SSP Kishtwar further elaborated on strategies for engaging with the public effectively and provided insights into the prevailing security landscape of the district. Moreover, he outlined the training curriculum, which encompassed the operational procedures of police stations, checkpoint operations, the role of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), District Police Office (DPO), and the functioning of the cyber cell.

SSP Kishtwar emphasized the importance of implementing the acquired knowledge in practical scenarios. The training programme was designed to empower the PSIs with the requisite expertise to effectively execute their duties on the ground. He wished the newly appointed PSIs a successful and prosperous future in their endeavors to serve and protect the community.

The training/briefing sessions was also attended by the Addl. SP Kishtwar Sh. Pawan Kumar, Dy. SP Hqrs Kishtwar Dr. Ishan Gupta, Dy. SP DAR Kishtwar Sh. Sajjad Khan and other officers.
