Udhampur May 23: Continuing its war against drugs abuse, Udhampur Police arrested one drug peddler and recovered 8.78 grams of Heroin like narcotic substance from his possession under the jurisdiction of Police Station Udhampur .

Police Team of P/S Udhampur led by SHO PS Udhampur while performing Patrolling checking duty intercepted one suspicious person, who on seeing police party tried to escape from the spot but was apprehended by the police party.

On frisking of said apprehended person namely Imran Ayub @ Minnie S/O Mohd. Ayub R/O Ward No 17 Shankar Nagar Sallain Talab Udhampur, police team recovered 08.78 grams of Heroin like sedative substance from the possession of above said accused and same was arrested on spot.

Now, In this regard, Case FIR No. 260/2024 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Udhampur.

It is pertinent to mention that the accused is a habitual offender, who repeatedly involved in case FIR No. 126/2019 U/S 8/21/22 and FIR No. 642/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act registered at P/S Udhampur.

Further investigation of case is going on.
