KATHUA, 22 MARCH:- Acting tough against drug dealings, Kathua Police recovered/seized approx. 13.85 grams of heroin (chitta) like narcotics at Dhanore area of PS Lakhanpur and one drug peddler arrested alongwith 01 motorcycle got seized on spot.

On dated 21.03.2024 an information was received from the reliable sources at PS Lakhanpur that one person namely Pardeep Dubey S/o Subash Chander R/o Kanyari Janglote Tehsil & District Kathua is indulged in illegal trade of selling narcotics like contraband substance.Acting swiftly police team led by IC PP Basantpur under the supervision of DySP DAR Kathua & SHO PS Lakhanpur during naka/ checking at Dhanore noticed said person who was enrouted on vehicle(motorcycle) bearing Reg. No. JK08N-7122 which was signalled to stop for checking purpose. During checking, approx. 13.85 grams of heroin like narcotics were recovered from the possession of said person namely 1. Pardeep Dubey S/o Subash Chander R/o Kanyari Janglote Tehsil & District Kathua.Thereafter all the recovered narcotics i.e. approx. 13.85 grams of Heroin alongwith motorcycle was seized and said person was arrested by the police party on spot.In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 29/2024 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act got registered at P/S Lakhanpur and further investigation was taken up.

Kathua Police again requested people of the area to come forward and share information on 100 or 9858034100 about any such illicit activity with Police for the cause. Your identity will be kept confidential.
