March 25: In continuation of its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, police in Budgam have arrested 02 drug peddlers and recovered psychotropic substance & cash from their Possession.

A police party of PP Humhama at a checkpoint established near Salsbeel High school, intercepted a vehicle (XUV -500) bearing registration number JK15B-7061 with two persons on board. They have been identified as Shoib Mohd Pandit son of Nazir Ahmed Pandit resident of Nundresh Colony Bemina and Showket Farooq Dar son of Farooq Ahmed Dar resident of Asham Bandipora·

During search, 07 bottles of Navocoff-Plus (Codeine Phosphate) 100 ml each and cash amount of rupees 26000 (proceedings of narcotics) were recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and the vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No· 88/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Budgam and investigation has been initiated.
