Samba, March 26: Samba Police today organised drug awareness programme under CAP at Govt. Middle School Vijaypur Camp, Shivnagar in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur which was attended by a large number of students, teachers and prominent citizens.

The programme was presided over by SDPO Vijaypur accompanied by SHO Police Station Vijaypur in which students from Govt. Middle School Vijaypur Camp, Shivnagar and Govt. Middle School Gudwal have participated. The first, second and third best student speakers were presented cash rewards of rupees 10000, 7000 and 4000 respectively, whereas five other participating students were also felicitated with cash rewards of rupees 2000 each.

SDPO Vijaypur and SHO Police Station Vijaypur also spoke on the occasion and asked the youth to stay away from narcotic substances.

Headmistress Govt. Middle School Vijaypur Camp thanked the police for organizing anti-drug awareness programmes at Vijaypur to generate awareness among students and public against drug abuse.
