BOVINE SMUGGLING BID FOILED BY RAMBAN POLICE AT GOOL.

Ramban,Feb 14: District Police Ramban foiled bovine smuggling bid in the jurisdiction of P/S Gool today by rescuing five animals.
Acting on reliable information received by Gool Police about bovine smuggling, a police party of PC Gool headed by ASI Prem Nath laid a strong Naka at Duksar Dalwah, Gool and intercepted a Mahindra TaTa mobile vehicle bearing Registration Number Chesis.JK/2/TMP/19/4888 coming from Gool side and moving towards Srinagar.
During checking of the vehicle five bovines were found laden inside the vehicle, which were being transported illegally without any permission. All the bovines were rescued and shifted to safer place. Out of three accused found involved in the commission of crime one accused namely Altaf Hussain S/O Mohd Shafi caste Gujjar Gaigee R/O Duksar Dalwah was arrested on spot and two others who escaped from the place were identified as Javed Ahmed (driver) S/O Ab Gani R/O Chanderkote and Zakir Hussain S/O Keema caste Gujjar R/O Duksar Dalwah who are being looked into by Police .The vehicle used for transporting the bovines was also seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 09/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered at P/S Gool and investigation started.
