In a statement issued by Doda Police, today on 23/04/2024 based on specific information about poppy cultivation by (1)Qutub Din S/O Abdul Subhan and (2)Zakir Hussain S/O Asadullah both R/O Rangola, Tehsil- Phagsoo in their fields in Phagsoo area of Thathri , A team of Police station thathri headed by Inspr Suresh Kumar ,SHO PS Thathri alongwith Executive Magistrate class 1st Thathri and other revenue officials visited the spot and seized all poppy plants in the presence of Executive Magistrate .

Upon this,case FIR NO 24/2024 under relevant provisions of NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Thathri and investigation of the case set into motion.

In place to mention here that Doda Police has launched special drives against drug peddlers, bovine smugglers and poppy cultivators and has booked a number of drug peddlers to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society.
