Shopian 15 August 2020:74th Independence day- 2020 has been celebrated in District Police Lines Shopian, Deputy Commissioner Shopian Shri Chaudhary Mohd Yaseen–IAS accompanied by SSP Shopian Shri, Amritpal Singh-IPS unfurled the National Flag and took the salute on the March Past presented by contingents of JKP, CRPF, Home Guard,JK youth Services and Sports.
All senior Police, paramilitary and civil officers of the district were present on the occasion. Colourful cultural programs also presented by the artists. Prizes were also distributed among the participants and dignified persons whom played a significant role at this occasion and for the welfare of society. A coffee Table Book " "Shan-e-Shopian" has also been released by Deputy Commissioner Shopian showing various developmental achievements undertaken over the last year at this memorable occasion.
