Attestation cum Passing out parade of DySPs, PSIs held at SKPA Udhampur Hon'ble Lt Governor Shri Manoj Sinha takes salute and inspects the parade Hon'ble LG, DGP J&K congratulate pass outs, their families


Srinagar, June 09: Attestation-cum-passing out Parade of probationary Dy. Superintendents of Police 15th batch and probationary Sub Inspectors 25th batch was held at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur today.

Hon’ble Lt. Governor Shri Manoj Sinha who was chief guest took the salute at an impressive march past from the passing out trainee officers and inspected the parade. The Lt Governor congratulated the passouts, their parents, and also distributed awards among the position holders.

Singh Jamwal, ADGP Jammu Zone Shri Mukesh Singh, ADGP HQ PHQ Shri M K Sinha, IGP BSF Shri Pradeep Katyal, Ex DGP Dr Ashok Bhan, DIG URR Shri Sulaiman Chowdhary, DC Udhampur Ms Krittika Jyotsna, SSP Udhampur Shri Vinod Kumar, AIGs of PHQ, Assistant Directors SKPAU, retired and serving senior police/civil officers, army and CAPF officers, parents/relatives of the trainees, and civil society members attended the passing out ceremony.

Addressing the function, Director General of Police Shri Dilbag Singh while welcoming the Hon’ble Lt. Governor J&K Shri Manoj Sinha, CS J&K, FC Home, senior officers of Army, CAPF, Police, & Civil Administration, media persons, other dignitaries & guests thanked them for gracing the occasion.

The DGP said that after taking the oath, the 91 officers became part of a huge Police Pariwar with great responsibility on their shoulders. He said that ‘I had the opportunity to meet these officers a couple of times and was overwhelmed to see training standards and enthusiasm of the batch’ and added that they are ready to take on every challenge on the professional front. He emphasized upon probationary officers to remember and act on each word of the oath taken while extending services to the people and the nation. Appreciating the courage and will shown by female officers of the batch during the training, the DGP hoped that they will equally prove their mettle professionally while shouldering all responsibilities on ground.

DGP said that the J & K Police force from last over three decades has been facing multiple challenges successfully and hoped that these officers would shoulder the greater responsibilities of the force with enhanced dedication. The DGP said that the glorious history and bravery of this force is not only acknowledged within the country but across the world and added that Jammu and Kashmir Police was honoured with the Presidential Colour for its passionate contribution. The DGP said that he is proud of the fact that JK police force has received every prestigious medal of the country including Ashoka chakra and added that the force has yet again received the highest number of Gallantry Medals this year among all armed forces.

The DGP wished good luck to the passouts and prayed that they would emerge victorious in every challenge in their professional life. He exhorted upon the pass out trainees to maintain high standards of duty, discipline and professional integrity while discharging their duties. He applauded the efforts put in by Director SKPAU and his team of dedicated officers and instructors for mentoring and shaping the officers.

Earlier, Director SKPA Udhampur Dr. S. D Singh Jamwal in his welcome address gave a detailed resume of the training activities conducted during the training of the probationary officers. He said that besides conventional training, emphasis was laid on training in the areas like counter insurgency operations, crime detection and investigation.

In the passing out parade 30 Probationary DySPs and 61 PSIs took pledge for their selfless service to the nation.

Among the probationary DySPs, All Round Best Vikram Nag was awarded Governor’s appreciation letter, Sword of Honour, Director’s Trophy & memento, Trikuta Cup & memento, Jhelum Cup & memento, 2nd All Round Best Khadim Hussain was awarded with DGP’s appreciation letter and silver plaque, 1st Indoor Best Ms Anam Zahoor Manhas was awarded DGP’s Trophy & memento, and Rouhan Farooq was declared best Sports man and was awarded Chenab Trophy and memento.

Among the probationary PSIs. Rahul Singh Manhas was declared all-round best and best in indoor was awarded Governor’s appreciation letter and Baton of honour, and DGP’s Trophy and memento, Khalid Bin Bashir was declared 2nd all-round best and best Marksman and was awarded DGP’s appreciation letter and silver plaque, and Trikuta Cup & memento, Vinayak Singh was declared best in outdoor and was award Director’s Trophy and memento, and Aarif Ahmad Malik was declared best in Sports man and was awarded Chenab Trophy and memento.
