Police organises free medical camp in Ganderbal


March 08:In order to provide special health care facilities, Police under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP) organised a free medical camp at Wangath Kangan in District Ganderbal.

The medical camp was inaugurated by SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS besides, SDPO Kangan Shri Muzzafar Jan-JKPS was present on the occasion. The Medical Health Camp was also attended by Sarpanchs, Panchs, other officers of Police & Civil administration.

The main aim of the medical camp was to provide the basic as well as specialist health care facilities to the downtrodden people of far-flung areas of Naranag, Babanagri and Wangath of District Ganderbal. Physician Specialist Dr Neelofar, Orthopaedician Dr Bilal Baba, Dr Malik Tahir MO & Dr Naseer Ahmad MO from Medical Block Kangan were deputed by CMO Ganderbal for examining the patients. During the camp, free of cost quality medicines were distributed among the people.

During the inaugural ceremony, SSP Ganderbal in his address laid the stress on importance of Physical and Mental Health for all. He also appraised about importance of hygiene and other preventive health care measures in one’s life that can help a person in maintaining a healthy life style. Besides, he advised the youth to refrain from taking illicit drugs. He also assured that in future Police will organise more such medical camps in order to provide the basic as well as specialist health care facilities to its people.

General public of the area hailed the initiative and were satisfied with the services provided by the Police.```
