April 16:* ```Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession.

A police party of Police Station Baramulla headed by SHO PS Baramulla at a checkpoint established at Khanpora Baramulla intercepted one person. During search, 15 grams of Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Junaid Shaban Gojree son of Mohd Shaban Gojree resident of Shahi Hamdan Colony Baramulla. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Baramulla where he remains in custody.

Similarly, a police party of Police Post Delina headed by IC PP Delina at a checkpoint established at Delina Baramulla intercepted one person. During search, 90 grams of contraband Charas like substances was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Sajad Ahmad Bhat @Jhon Bab son of Nazir Ahmad Bhat resident of Kralpora Delina. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Baramulla where he remains in custody.

Moreover, police party of Police Station Baramulla headed by SHO PS Baramulla at a checkpoint established at Kralhar Baramulla intercepted one person. During search, 160 grams of Charas like substances was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Mehraj-ud-din Mir @ Sahab Voltage son of Mohd Abdullah resident of Stadium Colony Baramulla. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Baramulla where he remains in custody.

Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigation have been initiated.
