Srinagar,14th July: On 13.07.2019,a police team of Police Station Lalbazar led by SHO Lalbazar Inspector Shri G P Singh on a reliable information raided a gaming site at Sheikh Mohalla Lalbazar and apprehended gamblers namely 1. Sajad Ahmad Sheikh S/O Abdul Rehman R/O Drubgam Budgam, 2.Aajaz Ahmad Bhat S/o Ghulam Nabi R/o S D colony Batmaloo,3. Lateef Ahmad Sheikh S/o Ghulam Mohammed R/o Barapathar Batamallo ,4. Showkat Hussain Gadoo S/o Late Ghulam Mohammed R/o Amdakadal A/p Bemina Srinagar and 5. Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh S/o Abdul Rehman R/o Soibugh .

From the site Stake money Rs 21,25 and playing cards were seized on the spot and all the gamblers arrested.

In this connection case FIR No. 34/2019 U/s 13 Gambling Act was registered and investigation taken up.

This is continuation to efforts of Srinagar Police to curb the social crimes.
